Scream is a cross platform component oriented Java environment and API to utilize the SuperCollider3 DSP audio engine and language among other OSC/MIDI enabled applications.

This press release describes the use of AmbiPan in a week long installation at the end of August / beginning of September 2004.

Scream is a Java based environment and in theory will run everywhere there is an up to date Java virtual machine. Currently the environment is being developed on Windows, but ports to OSX and Linux will soon follow.

The first Scream module constructed was a granular sampler. The prototype of this module was used in concert with external MIDI control on Friday June 6th, 2003 at the Felix Kulpa Gallery in Santa Cruz. This performance was recorded and is available here.

SuperCollider 3 is an open source real time audio engine that runs on OSX (Mac), Linux, and Win32. More information can be located here:
